A MUSICAL entitled ‘The Men Who Marched Away’ Kirton 1914-19, will be performed in Crediton Parish Church between June 18 and 21, from 7.30pm each evening.

It is intended to be a tribute to all those who gave up so much during the First World War and includes many members of the local community.

‘Meet the Hayward’s Class of 1916, who along with a group of performers including musicians, singers and actors, will tell the story of the First World War through the eyes of people from the Crediton area.

The show, which is being staged by Crediton Society CODS, features contemporary songs and music by artists including “Show of Hands”, Mike Harding, Colin Green, Robb Johnson, David Olney and Eric Bogle.

The Hayward’s Class of 1916 is made up of children from Hayward’s, Landscore, Queen Elizabeth’s and Chulmleigh Schools.

The show is being staged as a part of Credfest 2019.

Admission is just £10 for adults and £5 for students/16 and under.
