THE charity, Children’s Hospice South West, has received a bumper cheque for £2,550, thanks to Crediton Tesco superstore and Uplands Retail Services of Bristol.

Uplands Retail Services was the main contractor for a recent refit at the Crediton store and agreed to support the Tesco appeal in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.

Brian Hutchins said that his firm had been supported by its suppliers in raising funds for the charity, adding that he was delighted to be able to make the presentation.

Ruth Morgan, the area fundraiser for CHSW, said: “I am delighted to be able to accept this generous donation. This will help us to continue to support children with life limiting conditions and their families, helping to make the most of short and precious lives.”

Tesco stores in part of Devon and part of Cornwall are trying to raise £6,500 for CHSW by Christmas.
