CREDITON Area History and Museum Society (CAHMS) continues its series of monthly talks with an intriguing theory which links a local village to a well-known tale of royal skulduggery.

One of the enduring mysteries of mediaeval history is the story of The Princes in the Tower. Were they really murdered by their uncle, Richard III?

Several alternative theories have emerged over the years. There has been a lot of recent interest in what might be a local connection.

A group of researchers are exploring the possibility that the young Edward V did not die in the Tower of London, but lived on in Coldridge under a different identity.

Lyn Green from the Coldridge group will be telling CAHMS members and non-members about the findings in a talk at the Boniface Centre on Monday, January 8. Meet at 7.15pm for 7:30pm.

Admission is £2 for CAHMS members, non-members £5 – to include tea or coffee on arrival.
