THE last fundraising event of 2017 in support of the Holy Cross Crediton Campaign Roof Appeal will take place at the Boniface Centre on Monday, November 6, beginning at 7.30pm.

Emma James, one of the veterinary surgeons from the St Boniface Veterinary Practice in Crediton, will give an illustrated talk titled “A  Day in the Life of a Veterinary Surgeon”.

The talk will include some graphic images of operations.

Emma qualified from Liverpool Vet School in 2008 and has worked at the St Boniface Veterinary Practice ever since.

Emma enjoys treating all manner of pets but especially the more exotic such as parrots, snakes, lizards, rabbits and ferrets. 

Admission on the door will be £10 and includes supper after the talk.

To date, £90,000 has been raised in support of the Campaign Roof Appeal.

Bill adds that there are already a series of fundraising events planned for 2018, the first being on Monday, February 19, when Andrew Hills will give an illustrated talk entitled “Trekking in the Higher Ranges. The Andes and Himalaya”.
