STUDENTS from Crediton TAGB Taekwondo clubs have successfully passed their latest grading. They were all put through their paces by the area examiner Master Michael Dew, 8th degree black belt.
The results were as follows: Shannon May - White belt to yellow tag; Karl Guildford - White belt to yellow tag (with an A pass); Jake Guildford - White belt to yellow tag; Scott Guildford - White belt to yellow tag; Mika Jupp - White belt to yellow tag; Chloe Moullec - Yellow tag to yellow belt; Paul Gilbert - Green tag to green belt; Jade Gilbert - Green tag to green belt; Jodie Gilbert - Green tag to green belt (with an A pass); Thomas Mann - Green belt to blue tag; Luke Clifton - Green belt to blue tag (with an A pass); Stephen Tuckett - Green belt to blue tag; Julia Coryton - Red tag to red belt (with an A pass and the grading award).
Instructors Graham Stoyle and Michelle Cameron, both 2nd degree black belts, said: "We are extremely proud of all of our students achievements at this grading. Everyone performed exceptionally well and to get four A passes out of 13 was a real club achievement.
"Particular congratulations should be paid to Julia Coryton who, at red tag, had a particularly hard grading but managed to achieve an A grade, as well as the grading award for the best performance from the Crediton club on the night.
"Congratulations also to Luke Clifton, Jodie Gilbert and Karl Guildford who were all awarded A passes for their good performance."
Taekwondo is a marital art that suits all the family and is a fun way of getting and keeping fit.
Instructors Michelle Cameron and Graham Stoyle run classes for both juniors and adults and make sure they tailor individual needs within the lesson structure.
