THE FIRST Crediton Scout Group put on a talent show to entertain parents, family and friends.

Held at Hayward's Primary School, the show was compered by the very talented Rob Pudner (Entertainingly Different).

Performances ranged from streetdancing, instrument playing and magic to singing and acting. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts took part and even the leaders performed an entertaining/nail biting act, where timing and precision were paramount!

At the end of the evening, Tony Johnson, District Commissioner, Mid Devon Scouts, presented some special awards to two Beavers and one Cub.

Ed and Tom Price both gained their Chief Scout's Bronze Award, the highest badge to be won by Beavers.

Sam Reed gained his Chief Scout's Silver Award, the highest badge to achieve in Cubs.

Members present on the evening received their special occasion badge to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next year. All members will be able to wear this badge on their uniform during 2012.

Unable to attend was Matthew Slee who also has achieved his Chief Scout's Bronze Award. Matthew is one of the Crediton Beavers.

Debbie Richards, Beaver Scout Leader, said that the First Crediton Scouts would like to thank Rob Pudner for agreeing to be the compere and for his excellent skills in keeping everyone entertained.

She added: "He did an amazing job. Thanks also go to all parents, family and friends who supported the event."
