FIRST Crediton Scouts undertook a two-night survival camp in local woodland at the end of September where they made their own shelters to sleep in.

A great weekend was had by all and they were lucky enough to have a visit from Steve Willis and David Merrick who took along some freshly shot partridge from Nick at a shoot near Shobrooke.

They taught the Scouts how to prepare them for cooking. The Scouts roasted them at the camp bushcraft oven and cooked the rest of the meal over an open fire.

A great opportunity and a huge thanks to Steve and David from all at First Crediton Scouts.
