A TOTAL of 24 members were present on a cool and rather unpleasant day for the AGM of Crediton Probus Club.
Russ Ballard, our president for the past year, invited Brian Threlfall to say grace.
After another very fine meal, Richard Adams gave the quote and the draw was won by Christopher Maycock.
Russ gave some reflections on the high and low points of 12 months that had passed very quickly indeed.
The treasurer, Michael Davis, presented the accounts saying that the subscription was going to remain the same. He was thanked for his work during the year and said that he was happy to remain in office.
Here, the new president, Keith Beetlestone, was presented to members and the "handover" took place and Bryan Healey was introduced as the new Vice President.
We are still looking for both a new secretary and a new press officer and an appeal was made for people to fill these roles.
Brian Threlfall gave news of sick members, saying that John Pike, who had been hospitalised for several weeks, was now home and on the road to recovery.
After he had presented Russ Ballard with the Past Presidents badge, Richard Adams mentioned a course run by the Fire Service whereby groups can be assessed for their driving skills, saying, given our median age, that it might be a very good thing for us to take part.
This was enthusiastically agreed to and a date will be set in the near future.
The meeting concluded with the usual toast of "til the next time!"
