CREDITON Post Office has banned Queen Elizabeth’s School students from its Market Street premises due to “continuous theft from a group of QE pupils”.

It said any pupils wearing the secondary academy’s uniform will be “asked to leave the premises unless accompanied by an adult”.

“We unfortunately are not a charity and cannot afford to keep accepting losses caused by theft,” said a spokesperson for Crediton Post Office.

“We will be contacting QE today to make them aware of this situation.”

They added that there would be “no movement on our position”.

The Crediton Courier has contacted Queen Elizabeth’s School for comment.
