CREDITON Police have issued a warning that there have been a spate of break-ins and attempted break-ins to vehicles in Crediton during the past week or so.

Crediton PCSO Nicola Payne said: "These have mainly been vans that hold tools overnight.

"We are looking at information that has been provided by the public so far but if you see anything you believe is suspicious please contact 101.

"If you see a crime taking place please call 999.

"It might be someone unusual in your street who is paying particular attention to vehicles or a vehicle that keeps returning."

She concluded: "Descriptions of people and vehicles, particularly registration plates would be useful."
