CREDITON Police today, Friday, February 5, issued a statement saying that it had taken action against some who had broken civid legislation.
The statement, issued on Facebook, said: "Following some intelligence received Crediton Policing Team have issued four Fixed Penalty Notices for breaches of the current Covid Legislation.
"Police have been working in partnership with Mid Devon Council who have issued further Prohibition notices on the two non essential businesses involved.
"This should act as a reminder to the small minority of people who continue to think the laws do not apply to them that Police can and will take action.
"Crediton Policing Team welcome and encourage any information in relation to breaches of the Covid guidelines and can be contacted on 101 or through our website.
"Stay home, Protect the NHS and Save lives. Thank you."
