SEVEN members of Crediton Photography Club brought along their Audio Visual presentations to provide us with a very entertaining evening at the last club meeting.

Twelve AV’s were shown, which varied from various landscape images of the Amalfi Coast, Barra in the Outer Hebrides, a trip around the harbour at Chania on the island of Crete, with a very interesting history of the buildings past and present, dating back to 600 years BC!

We were presented with a variety of Fine Art Portraits using different models and props, and a very rousing display from the Calgary Stampede.

The evening finished with an AV of the pew end carvings from St Swithun’s Church, Sandford.

A clever choice of accompanying music enhanced the showing of displayed images e.g. "Pokarekare Ana" the unofficial New Zealand anthem with images of New Zealand.

All-in-all it was an evening well worth turning up for.  Well done to all concerned who took the trouble to put these efforts together.

Tomorrow, March 23, it will be the judging of the last internal competition of the season on the theme of patterns.  It should be an interesting evening as we always wonder what the judge’s opinion will be on our submissions.

On April 6, after a week off for Easter, Crediton Photography Club will be hosting a three way meeting between Crediton, Dulverton and Okehampton clubs, who will all be hoping to show off their best work.
