CREDITON Area History and Museum Society’s new exhibition “Young At Heart - Childhood Memories” opened at The Old Town Hall, Crediton, last week, and received a great response from those who saw it.
Visitors will be able to relive their childhood at the exhibition through memories of school dinners, toys, television, comics, sweets, Punch and Judy and much more.
There is a chance to see what life was like at school in Victorian times and how treatment in childhood illnesses were in years gone by. There is a chance to listen to Crediton Brownies singing nursery rhymes, identify the TV programmes, and there are quizzes and colouring sheets for children. There is also an opportunity for adults to enter a quiz and win a prize.
What was your favourite sweet, comic, children’s television programme?
Go and visit the interesting display and exhibition and re-live some of the happiest times of your life.
The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.
The exhibition can be opened for groups, at other times, by prior appointment.
It will run until the Autumn.
