ON Mothering Sunday Crediton Methodist Church normally creates many posies to give to all the ladies in the congregation to show that they are thinking of all women, regardless of their circumstances.
Because the church is still closed all the ladies who would normally do the floral arrangements decided to take matters into their own hands and provide little posies for as many women as possible.
They were going to be put on a table outside the Church and given to passers by, but due to gale force winds and hale storms predicted for the Saturday, a new plan was devised.
Approximately 65 posies were created in all, some in homes, others at Church and offered to as many ladies as Church members could contact throughout the town.
Church member Christine Marshall, said: “It was a small gift given with love and meaning so much to the receiver.”
