LIONS Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) has been in existence for more than 50 years.
Crediton Lions will be celebrating the Foundation with a display featuring the Club in Crediton’s Town Square on Friday, June 18 from 11am to 2pm.
Lions will be on-hand to tell the story of Lions both in Crediton and Internationally.
LCIF is Lions own Charity dedicated to thinking globally but acting locally, empowering Service and responding to humanitarian need wherever and whenever it is needed.
Each Lions Club, through its own efforts and that of the community, can and does help the worldwide prevention of hunger, and loss of sight.
The Lions also support childhood cancer initiatives and help to protect the environment.
Crediton Lion President Peter Bryan said: “There’s a world in need and caring Lions are ready to change it. But comfort and compassion alone can’t heal those suffering. It takes funding. It takes Campaign 100.
"So please support us in our endeavours. Pop along to our Gazebo in the Square on Friday, June 18, when we will be happy to chat and receive any support you may wish to make.”
On sale will be the Summer Cow Pat challenge prize draw tickets.
