HAVING had little or no opportunity to raise funds for well over a year Crediton Lions have come up with an unusual Prize Draw for the summer.

Tickets at £1 each will be on sale from now until September in "A Cow Pat Challenge".

Each ticket sold will be randomly allocated a square in a field and a number of cows will be allowed to graze in the area.

The first Cow Pat will be marked and its location on the grid identified.

The ticket allocated to that square will be the lucky winner of the first prize of £100.

Each of the eight adjacent "splatter squares" will receive a consolation prize of £10.

Mr George Mortimer of Uton Farm will be providing the location and the cows on Saturday, September 18.

So now’s your chance, when you see Lions out and about during the summer, have a bit of fun and see if your ticket will be the lucky one.

The Draw is in support of Crediton Talking Newspaper, a much-needed project for the blind and partially sighted and Lions support in our community.

Lion John Whitehouse is looking after the draw and enquiries should be made to John on 01363 898108.
