SHORTLY before Easter, Crediton and District Lions Club bought 20 giant decorated Easter Eggs which were raffled off at various locations around the locality.

This was a great success, raising almost £1,500.

A cheque for £750 was recently presented to Ellen Tinkham School and College in Exeter.  The remainder will be used to support other Lions activities in the community.

Ellen Tinkham School and College is a local education authority school and has 196 pupils with learning disabilities and physical disabilities from the age of four up to 19.  Nine of these pupils live in the Crediton area.

Peter Bryan, President of Crediton and District Lions Club was delighted to present the cheque to Kate Mythen, Chair of Governors at Ellen Tinkham School, watched by Lions Hazel Evely and Bronwyn Nott.

Following the presentation the pupils of the Further Education Department put on a very enjoyable Fashion Show, displaying some of the ‘"creations’’ they had made and "strutting their stuff" on the catwalk.

The ethos of the school is "Everyone will do the best they can’’ and everyone was involved in the show.
