SAMPFORD Courtenay Flower Club held its 35th Anniversary in the village hall with demonstrator, Sheila Hadlow Mount.

Sheila is a past National Chairman and hails from Cornwall. Club members had provided some beautiful foliage, and Sheila had brought mostly peach flowers to reflect their anniversary.

There were more than 60 members and friends from adjacent flower clubs in the audience, and we were treated to two-course meal, including a meat salad, and strawberries, with cream from a member’s farm.

At the end of the afternoon, we all had a piece of birthday cake and posies were given to some of the founding members.

Four members from Crediton Flower Club were among the guests.
