TEN members of the Last Resort Crediton Explorers Scout Group were presented with the Chief Scout’s Platinum Award at a recent meeting.
The Scouts had to fulfill a number of challenges to achieve the award, the awards showing that those who achieved them were adventurous, helped in the community and learnt about the world.
The recipients were Liam Brayley, Jonathan Brett, Victoria Cordwent, Henry Howard, Cherokee Mitchell, Alfie Mussell, Daniel Richards, Jack Robinson, Emily Salter and Kayleigh Woodman.
The awards were presented by George Davey BEM, Assistant District Commissioner, Mid Devon Scouts.
Mr Davey praised the Explorer Scouts on their achievement and said they were one of the first Explorer groups to achieve the award.
Ruth Preater-Gillard was presented with flowers for helping the Explorers achieve their awards.
The Explorer Scout group would like some new leaders or assistants and anyone interested is asked to get in touch with Crediton Scouts.
