CREDITON Dementia Action Alliance is holding a dementia-awareness session next week. During the past few years more than 30 Crediton businesses have shown themselves to be dementia friendly with nearly 200 business people and members of the public becoming dementia friends after attending dementia-awareness sessions.

The Alliance believes it is the right time to hold further sessions as several new businesses have sprung up in the town.

Former professional trainer, Marion Pollinger, a Dementia Friends Champion, will explain how you can make a difference to the lives of people living with dementia and their carers in a number of simple but significant ways.

At the end of the session attendees will become Dementia Friends and, if you do not already have one, businesses will receive a logo which can be displayed on the premises to show that you are Dementia Friendly.

The session will be held on Thursday, June 20, at 6pm, at the Crediton Coffee Company, 1 Market Street, Crediton.

If you are interested in booking a place please contact Carole Webb by email: [email protected] , or Brian Shillingford on telephone 01363 772657.

Anybody is welcome to attend this free awareness session.
