A DANCE held at the Boniface Centre in Crediton on Saturday, April 21 raised £260 for the cancer charity, FORCE.

One of the organisers, Liz Rafferty, said: “It was a fantastic evening with lots of fun trying out different dances, led by our wonderful tutors, Karen and Steve Moss, who also lead the weekly Friday dances.

“Supper was an excellent feast, prepared by an efficient team of ladies from the FORCE volunteers.

“Thank you to those members of the dance class that turned up to support and enjoy. Also a big thank you to anyone else who supported in any way.

“I am really grateful and impressed with Crediton’s generous people.

“Jan and Brana were very generous with their time in helping to organise and ensure the programme was engaging and fun.

“We hope that some of those new to dancing may come along to the Methodist Church Hall, on Fridays to join us from 7.30pm until 9pm to learn and enjoy more of the same. We started to learn a Pasa Doble which is a very dramatic dance which people seemed to enjoy.

“There is a break now until May 11, when we will resume.”
