CREDITON Friends of Hospiscare held another successful event on National Cream Tea Day, Friday, June 29, when volunteers delivered more than 200 cream teas to shops and offices in Crediton High Street and businesses on the Lords Meadow Industrial Estate on a very hot afternoon.

Julie Cole, on behalf of the Friends, said: "We raised £763.50, an amazing amount and we would like to extend our grateful thanks to Morrisons and Tescos for their continued support and also special thanks to those who made and donated scones, jam and cream and those who gave up their time to help the committee prepare the teas for delivery.

"Thank you all."
