CREDITON Church Choir will be performing highlights from Handel’s “Messiah” on Saturday, December 14, in the parish church starting at 7pm.

The choir will be joined by local chamber choir St David’s Singers, and by strings from Exeter Symphony Orchestra.

Mark Perry, Director of Music at the Parish Church, said: “We’ve been looking for a while for an opportunity for the two choirs to perform together, and Handel’s ‘Messiah’ is an ideal work on which to collaborate, with its very popular and accessible Choruses.

“We’re very lucky also to have members of Exeter Symphony Orchestra playing for us.  It promises to be a very enjoyable evening!”

Tickets, available at the door, are priced at £8 for adults and the price includes a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.

Admission is free for children.
