AFTER their plea in the “Crediton Courier” asking for a place to store their three accessible vehicles, Crediton Community Transport was delighted to receive a call from the Chairman of Downes Crediton Golf Club to say they would be happy to help the charity!

Crediton and District Community Transport, working under Tiverton and District Community Transport Association’s umbrella, is a registered charity (number 1099477) which provides safe, affordable door-to-door transport for vulnerable people, such as the elderly, disabled and rurally isolated people in the rural parishes of the Mid Devon area.

After the news was broken in the “Courier” earlier this month the charity was hoping that a local company would see their request and step in to help them store their three accessible vehicles.

In turn, Crediton Community Transport is going to advertise Downes Crediton Golf Club in its quarterly newsletters - of which 5,000 copies are distributed throughout the whole of the Mid Devon area. CDCT is also going to advertise the golf club at all publicity events it holds.

Sarah Holmes, Transport Co-Ordinator, Crediton and District Community Transport Association, said: “This is great news for us and we would like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to Downes Crediton Golf Club for their generosity.”
