THERE were many people disappointed that they were unable to get tickets for the recent sell-out performance of "Showstoppers" by the CODS choir.

There is though a chance of seeing highlights from that show at Newton St Cyres Parish Hall on Saturday, December 10, with the concert starting at 7.30pm.

In a new initiative for CODS, the Society has combined with the Hall to stage an evening’s entertainment.

The first part will be the miscellany of popular songs from the Shows and this will be followed by carols, with audience participation.

The concert should give a great start to the Christmas season.

Tickets cost £7.50 (including coffee and a mince pie) and are available from the Village Stores in Newton St Cyres, from Chris Barlow (01392 851125) and Roger Wilkins (01392 851337). There will be a licensed bar.
