THE first Crediton Cars and Coffee held on Crediton’s Town Square on Saturday, July 10, was hailed an amazing success - and also raised £651.07 for the charity, Devon Air Ambulance.

The event included displays of a great assortment of vehicles and motorbikes, alongside a bumper raffle run by The Turning Tides Project.

The majority of the money for the Air Ambulance came from the profits of the raffle.

A spokesperson for Devon Air Ambulance said: “During our busiest summer yet we are very grateful to have the support of fundraisers like Daniel Webb and the team at Crediton Coffee and Cars whose contribution truly does make a life-saving difference.”

Daniel Webb, from Crediton Coffee Company, previously said about the day: “We had a fantastic attendance of display vehicles and the public which meant that our fundraising campaign for Devon Air Ambulance was successful.

“There are a lot of people that we would like to thank.”

He thanked all those who donated raffle prizes, including The Alley Cat of Crediton, alloy wheel specialists, who donated a £250 voucher.

He also thanked all those who took along vehicles plus the local traders who also supported the event.

He thanked Crediton Town Council and Mid Devon District Council for the use of the Town Square.

He also thanked Dominic Palfreman, co-organiser of the Cars and Coffee event, of Subtle Automotive and The Turning Tides Project, for help in organising the event.

It is hoped that a second event will be held in the not-too-distant future.
