MANY people from across Crediton and the area took part in a sixth national applause of thanks to key, care and health workers helping in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic on Thursday, April 30.
Nearly every person in Butt Parks, Crediton, took part and, again, many pots and pans were also bashed and musical instruments played.
The organisers of the Clap for Carers campaign started it online and said it was being staged because "during these unprecedented times, (NHS staff) need to know we are grateful".
Grecian the Lion, the Exeter City Football Club mascot was one of those who made an appearance at Butt Parks.
In addition, after the applause, a rendition of “Happy Birthday” was sung to Colonel Tom Moore (100), who has raised £33 million for NHS Charities Together.
The singing was led by Caitlin on a keyboard.
