CREDITON Arts Centre will start the New Year with a celebration of the Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen.
On Saturday, January 13, three of his best-loved tales “The Ugly Duckling”, “The Little Match Girl” and “The Princess and the Pea” will be brought to life by local storytellers Geoff Fox and Peter Hamilton.
Then, from Wednesday, January 24 to Saturday, January 27, The Brown Paper Bag Theatre Company will present a magical family show based on “The Tinderbox”.
Happiness, sadness, identity, loneliness, wonder and joy are all there in this wonderful selection of Andersen’s stories.
Tickets are available from the Arts Centre, Crediton Community Bookshop and Sandford Community Stores or online from the website: www.creditonartscentre.ticketsource.co.uk .
Please note, the storytelling event on January 13 is for anyone aged six upwards, but “The Tinderbox” is more suitable for those aged eight upwards.
