TOMORROW, Saturday, November 10, Crediton Arts Centre and Exeter Quakers are marking 100 years since the Armistice was signed in 1914 with performances in Princesshay Square, Exeter, at 11am, 11.30am and 12 noon.
This short piece of street theatre evokes images familiar to the war on the Western front.
It will be repeated on Saturday evening at Crediton Arts Centre at 7.30pm and followed by “Songs of Hope and Peace” by the local community choir Sandford Sings.
The evening continues with Transparent Theatre, a group of young actors who first performed at the Crediton Arts Centre in June and return with “Sweet and Becoming”, a new play inspired by “All Quiet on the Western Front”.
It is fitting that “Poppies” facilitated by Exeter Quakers concludes the evening of theatre and song that mark this Armistice Centenary.
Tickets can be obtained from Crediton Arts Centre, Crediton Community Bookshop and Sandford Stores.
An invitation is extended to join the Exeter performances or Crediton evening event.
