IT was lovely weather for the annual Cream Tea afternoon held at Newton St Cyres Parish Hall, with more than 50 people attending, including the Team Vicar, Katie Cross.

John Salter thanked everyone for attending and welcomed visitors from other local villages.

He said that the event raised £416 for Parish Church funds. It was not just scones and cream, but there was also a delicious variety of home-made cakes and savouries, plus a raffle with lots of prizes.
