Are you able to donate roughly 7 hours of your time on Wednesday 8 October? Could you help the Deaf Academy with their one-off mass charity box challenge throughout the City of Exeter and surrounding areas in order to raise awareness and vital funds for this essential local charity? If you answered yes to the above and are looking for an opportunity to enhance your CV, donate your time to a worthwhile cause or simply to meet inspiring, likeminded people, then this challenge could be the one for you.

The Deaf Academy hopes that with the help of a team of volunteers, in just one day they will be able to place 75 collections boxes across Exeter. Each box will help to raise not only vital funds for the charity but awareness of the Deaf Academy and its crucial work.

The Deaf Academy is a charity that runs a School and a College providing specialist education and care tailored to the individual needs of Deaf young people aged 4-24 years. The Academy is soon to embark on an exciting new build project and will be reliant on the help of the local community at an unprecedented level to support and fund building a new Academy due to open in September 2016.

If you are available on Wednesday 8 October and would like further information about joining the team of amazing volunteers, please contact the Academy Fundraising Team on 01392 267019 or [email protected]">[email protected]
