CREDITON Branch of the Royal British Legion is looking for a volunteer to become the Branch Secretary.

The Committee says it is looking for an enthusiastic person to work alongside the Branch President, Chairman and Committee officers. 

A summary of duties is as follows:

• To liaise with the Branch Chairman in the preparation of the Agenda for all Branch Meetings and circulate.

• To attend and record Minutes of all General and Committee Meetings, type up and circulate these via email to the Branch Committee members.

• There are six scheduled meetings per year with the AGM in November.

• To keep the Committee and Branch members informed of events, and information from County RBL.

• To promote the Legion and, along with the Membership Secretary, to encourage Membership of the Branch. 

• To act as point of contact for receipt of correspondence issued by the County. 

The successful person must be efficient in Word and sending/receiving emails.

A handover from the previous secretary and training will be given.
