A CORONATION Walk took place on Friday, May 5 starting from St Boniface Statue in Newcombes Meadow park.
The free, guided walk was led by Heather Sansom who explained Crediton’s royal connections at various points throughout the walk.
Coronation Walk to trace Crediton’s Royal connections
Heather was wearing her handmade hat, just like the one that was worn by Princess Margaret when she unveiled the new Boniface Statue in 1960.
Crediton Library supervisor, Sue Lee, said: “Heather had 70 photographs that she showed along the route to explain the royal connections that she had researched.
“Many thanks to Heather for her efforts and to Crediton and District U3A, Crediton Area History and Museum Society and others who have told their stories.”
Heather, together with Crediton Library, will be holding a Coronation walk for children on Friday, June 2 meeting at the St Boniface Statue at 10.30am.
