AS The Crediton Charitable Community Fund, based at the Once Read Bookshop in the High Street, slowly gathers momentum in it's recognition, some of the children in the community are beginning to reap the benefit from public generosity. The fund has raised money in a variety of ways including donations, the purchase of small items, raffle tickets, and events. These have all helped the fund in its goal to help in the education and activities of children. During May and June, the fund has been able to send cheques, each to the value of £100, to two local schools. Hayward's Primary School decided to use their donation to provide extra reading books for the "Ready Steady Read" intervention programme. Landscore Primary School plan to use their donation for a playground activity structure. The community fund are also pleased to report that along with others, they have been able to assist Hannah Boxall-Hunt in her quest to cycle in India for Childreach International. Anyone who would like to donate items, cash or their time at table sales for the Fund please contact at Once Read Bookshop, 4, High Street, Crediton. Keep up the good work folks!
