THERE has been much confusion about the collection of plastic milk bottle tops for charity, including some hoaxes.

Many people in the Crediton area have been collecting plastic milk bottle tops until the recent closure of the Exeter collection centre and Southampton become the nearest collection point.

Since then the "Courier" has been approached by a number of people asking where they can take their bottle tops.

Oliver Hood and Colin Full of Sampford Courtenay already collect the plastic tops and Oliver takes them to a colleague in Bristol who then takes them to the Noah's Ark, Children's Hospital Charity, Cardiff, Wales, who collect and sell them to raise money to buy wheelchairs for young children in need.

They are happy for people to take the tops to their home at Farfield,

Sampford Station, Sampford Courtenay, EX20 2SP. For more information telephone 01837 52952.

For those who are unable to travel to Sampford Courtenay, Sustainable Crediton are happy to accept separate bags of plastic milk bottle tops during their plastic collections held in Peck and Strong's car park at Lords Meadow Industrial Estate. Crediton. One of the group will then take the tops out to Sampford Courtenay.

The next Sustainable Crediton plastic collection will be on held at the Peck and Strong car park on Saturday, January 31, from 10am to 12.30pm.
