THE Crediton Branch of the Royal British Legion held a coffee morning on Saturday, July 30 at Crediton Methodist Church hall and raised £180.
Royal British Legion merchandise was sold and there were also stalls selling produce, books, bring and buy items and a draw was also run.
Jane Sansom, branch treasurer, said that the monies will probably start off this year’s Poppy Appeal.
Thanks go to all those who supported the event and particularly to Leigh Pooley for musically entertaining those who went along.
The next event for the branch will be an annual lunch to be held at the Masonic Hall, Crediton on Saturday, September 3.
