CODS recently presented a cheque for £850 to cancer charity FORCE.

The President of CODS, Carolyn Stoyle presented the cheque to Shelia Ralph, chair person of the local Friends of FORCE.

FORCE recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with the purchase of major new equipment, a "Pinpoint" machine for the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital to help in the treatment of women with cancer.

Sheila said: "We are absolutely thrilled to receive the cheque from CODS.

"FORCE is a charity close to my heart and the Friends raise funds for the cancer centre in Exeter and also support cancer research."

The money was raised by CODS (Crediton Operatic and Dramatic Society) through bucket collections at their recent shows and a tin at Club Crediton.
