THE male driver of a coach, believed to have been working for an Axminster-based coach company, has been spoken to by local police officers following comments he is alleged to have made to two students from Crediton's Queen Elizabeth's Academy.
Richard Newton Chance, principal, QE Academy Trust, told the Courier, following the incident last week: "A third party tour operator's coach driver, previously unknown to us, allegedly made inappropriate remarks to some girls who were waiting for the London Drama trip to leave.
"They reported it to our Child Protection Team, who immediately contacted the Police, who are dealing with it.
"The students were put on a train to London as an alternative."
It is believed the comments were made to the students, outside the public toilets at The Green, Crediton.
