A COPPLESTONE mother-of-four was yesterday, Thursday, December 19, due to have her head shaved in aid of charity.
Claire Glover, who was seeking sponsorship in aid of Yeo ward, a cancer ward at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Wonford, Exeter, was to have her head shaved at the Copplestone Methodist Church weekly café event held at the church.
Claire also intends to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs for children suffering hair loss.
Yesterday, she was also due to celebrate her birthday.
Until just a few days ago she had promises of more than £200 in aid of Yeo ward.
Claire, who works part-time in Tesco, Crediton, said: "Please don't be alarmed if you see me without hair, I am just doing it to raise money for charity.
"I was inspired to do it as the ward cared for my father and so I know of the importance of the work the ward does."
