THE Churches Together in Crediton Holiday Club was held at Crediton Congregational Church every morning for a week earlier this month.
Between 60 and 70 children attended the club each day and the theme this year was Rocky’s Plaice, following a fish and chips theme.
The children heard stories from the Bible, had daily drama, made crafts, played games, sang songs and had lots of fun.
The music group “Rocky’s Rockers” was led by the church pastor, James Gregory.
The children worked in various groups, appropriately titled Pickled Eggs, Fish, Sausages, Mushy Peas, Chicken Nuggets, Chips, Curry Sauce and Ketchup and all had tasks marked off once completed in their own personal record books.
More than 35 volunteer helpers from across the churches in Crediton ensured that a fantastic week was had by all.
Francesca Raymont, from the Congregational Church, said: “This year’s holiday club was brilliant!
“It was our 18th holiday club we have run and all the children had a great time.
“A lot of the children came back with their families and friends on the Sunday for hot dogs in the car park followed by a celebration service, giving the children an opportunity to show their friends and families what they had been doing each day at the holiday club.”
