SAINT Andrew’s Church in Colebrooke has made to two charities and appointed new Parochial Church Council (PCC) members.

An Extraordinary PCC meeting to appoint new members to the PCC was held in the church on January 7.

Since its last Annual Meeting in May 2026, a team of volunteers has run the Church and provided worship opportunities and other events for the Colebrooke Parish community.

In September a Harvest Festival service was held which was well attended with new faces being welcomed.

After the service a donation of food and funds of £136.50 was given to Crediton Foodbank.

In November an evening of music from local band Seraph and other local musicians, followed by refreshments, was enjoyed by an audience of 110 people.

Since October, a new community choir has formed and has been practicing regularly in Colebrooke.

About 30 members of the choir performed at an outstanding Carol Service held on December 22.

More than 150 people were in the congregation.

The church was packed and the singing was highly praised.

The service was led by Rev Caroline Ralph from Crediton Clergy Team.

Donations totally £414 were received and were presented to Emma Jones, Head of Community Relations at St Petrock’s (Exeter).

Emma thanked everyone for supporting the event and the charity which supports many homeless people in the Exeter area.

At the meeting Steve Holder was appointed as Lay Chair with Ian Rowe and John Bulford as churchwardens. Mark Flawn was elected treasurer.

St Andrew’s Church and the new PCC team are looking forward to a busy programme of services and events in 2026, including exciting and entertaining activities.

They also say there will be many worship opportunities for all of those of any faith or not faith in the community.
