CHULMLEIGH Community College was delighted to welcome the class of 2017 back to Chulmleigh College, on November 14, to receive their GCSE Certificates and Special Awards.

Following another record-breaking year for Chulmleigh pupils, which has seen them top the charts for progress in North Devon yet again, it was a very special evening where the College could wish the pupils a final goodbye and good luck.

Notable this year again was the number of A*/A (including new 7-9 grades) which the pupils achieved, but there were also some tremendous stories of pupils who overcame difficulties to achieve some fantastic GCSE results.

The evening began with a reception for parents, former pupils and staff in Dartridge Hall, followed by presentations from the College to all pupils and especially the Special Award winners.

Outgoing Head Boy and Girl (Aidan Davies and Jasmine Symons) delivered humorous and thought-provoking speeches, and the College wished them and all of their year group every success for the future. The College hopes they keep in touch.
