END of term for pupils at Copplestone Primary School meant plays and lots of song and music.

There were two nativity stories, one presented by the Pre-School and Reception children, the other by Years One and Two, both telling the traditional story with a modern twist.

A concert in the school was attended by parents and families, there was a slap-up Christmas lunch cooked in the school, and a day for wearing Christmas jumpers.

This was the first year that the school had put up a Message Tree where people could choose a gift tag on which to write their Christmas message for a small donation for ELF, Exeter Leukaemia Fund, raising £17.

The idea was that people could send greetings to other families and friends in the school and help a charity at the same time.

The messages were published in a school newsletter before the end of term.
