SOME truly clever and crafty ideas for gifts were among the many stalls at Tedburn St Mary School’s Christmas Fair which filled the school on Friday evening, November 29.

As well as face painting, glitter tattoos, plenty to eat and drink and a visit from Tedburn Community Choir, games and Father Christmas, there were a number of independent stallholders including Tedburn crafting group.

There were cakes, jewellery, toys, books, soaps, sweets, home-made preserves, wet felting kits and good things made by felting with many stallholders avoiding the use of plastic as much as they could.

One stall was selling everything made from recycled items to raise funds for Tavistock Support Services, a charity set up more than 30 years ago to support the older population of the area.

The evening was organised by the Friends of Tedburn School (FOTSMS) in aid of school projects.
