DUE to the current situation Crediton Parish Church is unable to have its usual nativity play, so its annual Christmas Crib service will take place online on Christmas Eve at 4.30pm on the Church’s Facebook page.
It will include an Open The Book team nativity with singing directed by Richard and Stella Stephens and Sunday Club leaders.
The children taking part will assist in telling the Christmas story through traditional and modern Christmas songs. The chorus will only be heard as the Church is aware of safeguarding issues as the Service will be streamed on Facebook.
The Church is inviting children aged from seven to 14 years from the local area to form a choir for this service and would be very pleased to hear from anyone interested.
Rehearsals will take place in the church on Tuesday, December 8 and Tuesday, December 15, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, and a recording session on Thursday, December 17 from 4.30pm to 6pm.
It is anticipated that children wishing to take part in recording would attend both Tuesday rehearsals. The church will be open from 4.15pm. Children will be seated two metres apart and masks are to be worn when not singing except for those who are exempt.
If you are interested and would like a booking form or would like further information please contact the Parish Administrator on behalf of Rev Matthew Tregenza: telephone 01363 773226 or email: [email protected] .
Bookings are required by Friday, December 4. A Church representative will then be in touch to confirm a child’s place as numbers may have to be limited pending Government guidelines.
