CHILDREN caused a bit of a stir at Holy Trinity Church, Yeoford, on the last Sunday in November when they helped make Christmas puddings, not quite Stir Up Sunday, but very near. The stirring was done at the Family Service.

This month 23 people went to the Christmas lunch held in the church on Monday, December 6 when Christmas pudding ended the meal that had included turkey and all the trimmings plus mulled wine.

Cooking was done by the church catering team who had to cook everything at home and take to the church, well wrapped, with all the washing up returning the same way because the church kitchen has not yet been built.

The last weekly Monday morning coffee morning of the year will be on Monday, December 13 from 10-11am at the church.

Forthcoming services are on Sunday, December 12, 9.30am Holy Communion; Sunday, December 19, 5pm, Candlelit Carol Service; Friday, December 24 4pm Crib service and that evening will be 9pm Christmas Holy Communion.

Services in January will be Sunday, January 9, 9.30am Holy Communion; Saturday, January 15, Messy Church in the village Community Hall from 3.30-5pm; Sunday, January 23, 9.30am Christingle.
