A SUCCESSFUL year was reported at the annual meeting of the League of Friends of Chiddenbrook Surgery, Crediton.

The chairman gave a full report on the year together with a full report from the treasurer.

The election of an Executive Committee was agreed as follows: chairman Steve Willis; treasurer Mrs Ethel Ransom; secretary Miss Claire Sutton.

Dr Braddick gave full report of the surgery and demonstrated some of the articles which the League of Friends had purchased over the year.

It was agreed by the friends that a further three purchases would be made:

1 A pharmacy fridge for vaccines and immunisations, 2 Anatomy models for knee, shoulder and lumbar spine - these help the patients to understand in more detail and make the explanation for the doctor easier and 3 Particular instruments for the examination couch.

The League's entertainment evening is planned for October 10 at the Boniface Centre.
