INSTEAD of a formal meeting in August, members and friends of Cheriton Fitzpaine WI travelled by coach to Paignton Zoo on a rare sunny and warm day.

Most of us headed straight for the giraffe enclosure to see the young one born in April with its mother. Others went to the restaurant where we met up at different times.

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, especially the youngest, three years-old Rosie, grand-daughter of member Tessa, who came back painted as a lion!

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 20 at 2.15pm, when Laura Kemp, owner of the Greenhouse in Crediton Town Square, will be holding a Health and Beauty Workshop.

Visitors are welcome.
