THE Boniface Centre in Church Lane, Crediton is approaching 35 years as a very-well used venue for a wide variety of events from church festivals to conferences/meetings, parties etc.

For all of this time the system for booking a room at the Centre has relied on one person and paper documentation.

The time has come for Robin Lavery to take a step backwards and, from October 1, booking will be an on-line function overseen by a team of administrators.

A dedicated website for the Centre has been created: www.bonifacecentrecrediton.org.uk that can be accessed either directly or via the parish church website.

The new website contains a link to the booking system, Hallmaster, that is tried and tested and used throughout the country for similar venues.

The website also has comprehensive instructions, including videos, for making bookings.

A first-time user will need to create an identity and password, but thereafter will be able to login directly to Hallmaster.

The news system will enable instant answers and the new system will enable the user to identify whether a room/area is available on the day they require it.

There is a plan of the Centre on the website that enables selection of the room/s and a scheduler (calendar) that enables searches to be limited to just the rooms wanted.

The rooms are colour coded to help this process. Having identified booking is possible it is then necessary to login to Hallmaster and make your booking.

You have to be registered with Hallmaster as a customer before you can do this as above.

Hallmaster will communicate to confirm a person has made a request, and then that it has been accepted (confirmed) by the administrators.

At any time you can check your bookings and make corrections if need be. No more emails, no more phone calls, instant access!
