MANY members of Crediton Scouts have been presented with certificates after they, and their families took up the Moors Otter project challenge, to visit some of the 100 otters which were placed on or around Dartmoor last summer.

Crediton Community Bookshop hosted one otter as part of the project and in conjunction with Dartmoor National Park, Devon Scouts challenged members to get out and about to see how many they could find.

Several Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from Crediton took up the challenge with their families and Marc Colton, County Commissioner for Devon Scouts, visited Crediton Scouts to present certificates.

He congratulated Henry Wellaway, Alfie Poole, Josh Poole, George Everitt and Primrose Everitt on spotting at least 25 otters (Bronze), Isaac Olsson, Agnes Olsson and Owain Olsson for spotting 50 otters (Silver), and Oliver Noon and Ciaran Noon who found more than 75 (Gold)!.

They each received a special Moor Otters blanket badge as well.
